Client Overview

This crypto news website has been operational since 2017 and has stagnated in the range of 600 to 1000 visitors per day (avg. 880) throughout 2023 and the first half of 2024. Although the site had a high Domain Rating and a decent brand reputation, its blog content was limited and of low quality.

SEO Strategy

Our team created a very comprehensive content strategy that revolved around viral trending topics in the crypto space.

The strategy relied on preparing and publishing an immense volume of short-form content containing unique, accurate, and concise information that is not easily accessible on the web.

To achieve this, we created our custom data retrieval tool, which fed daily our custom knowledge database. The database was then moderated by trained human agents and used as the basis for generated content from crypto experts.

This approach provided an unparalleled quality to our content that the competition couldn’t keep up with.

Results

Here are the results from June 1st to September 19th, 2024, compared to the preceding period:

Our content strategy resulted in arguably one of the biggest SEO successes in history: The website’s traffic increased astronomically, growing from an average of 800 daily visitors to a staggering 400000 visitors as of the day this report was written. The growth was so exponential that the GA4 reports show the traffic before the middle of July, when we launched the campaign, as a flat line.

We realize that such growth rates are hard to believe. Hence, we added more screenshots directly from the GA4 account to verify the claims. Below, we pointed the cursor to June 15th, 2024, when Sessions were “just” 886 per day. Prior to that, data traffic remained at similar levels.

Below is another screenshot pointing to the current date, September 19th, 2024, when 400005 daily sessions were recorded. That is a 44002.0% growth since the previous period(shown in the annotation box). We believe this level of organic session growth is among the largest, if not the largest, in SEO history.

Similarly, total view counts reached 19 million on September 19th, up 16756% from the preceding period. On the final day of the range, views were up 42034.6%.

What was also a remarkable success is despite the exponential growth in total users, new users, and active users, we also increased the quality of the users, as evidenced in the screenshot below.

Sessions per active user increased from 1.1 to 4.5, a 274.8% increase.

This increase means the new users were more interested in visiting the website repetitively than previous users.

The increase in more engaged, loyal users was evident in the Search Console, where brand-related queries increased 120 times over the preceding period.

In parallel, 70.6 million search impressions were generated, resulting in 10.2 million clicks. Many of those organic clicks came from brand-related queries, which increased by 160 times.

The record-breaking traffic increases didn’t occur only for organic search traffic. Comparing June 1st – Sep 19th with the preceding period, Feb 10 – May 30th, those changes were reported in GA4:

  • Organic Search sessions grew by 16,673%, from 66,656 to 11,179,988
  • Direct Traffic sessions grew by 19,104%, from 8,123 to 1,559,904
  • Organic Video sessions grew by 213,915%, from 41 to 87,746
